Glass fermentation weights are used to keep your vegetables under the brine so mould doesn't grow during the fermentation process. Place them on top of a follower (clean cabbage leaf or similar) and then fit a fermentation lid to your jar.
Both the fermentation weights and lids fit all of the Ball wide mouth preserving jars (the wide mouth pint, quart and half gallon are good choices). The top of the glass weight is shaped into a handle making it easy to get the weights in and out.
Four (4) weights per set.
Each weight is 14 mm high with a diameter of 69 mm.
