The Hogla shopping basket is hand woven in Bangladesh using hogla rope and leaf along with recycled sari fabric which is plaited and stitched to make the handles. Being handcrafted and using various coloured recycled sari fabrics, each basket is unique but always beautiful.
The hogla plant is an abundant natural resource in Bangladesh. It is used to create rope which is then weaved into finished products. This basket is made by skilled artisans of Dhaka Handicrafts which is a fair trade partner with Trade Aid New Zealand.
This basket is perfect for shopping or the farmers market.
