Regas Spanish Terracotta Cocotte Casserole Dish with Lid

These lovely Spanish terracotta cocottes are perfect for cooking a casserole, stew, soup or rice dishes. They are made from high quality fire proof terracotta clay which can be used in the oven, over direct heat and in the microwave. They are also dishwasher and freezer safe.

With their lovely traditional appearance, you can also transfer them directly from the oven to the table.

Important usage and care instructions:

These dishes are brittle when new so it is very important that a simple pre-use procedure is followed. If you intend to use on direct heat, please follow the process outlined below.

1. Before use, submerge in cold water overnight. If it is not used often or if the climate is dry, do this again before each use for a short time.
2. Do not put it on the heat empty (i.e. add a little oil or the recipe contents).
3. Always begin cooking on a low heat. The heat can be increased once the dish is warm.
4. Do not subject to abrupt temperature changes.
5. Dry thoroughly before storing, especially in humid climates.
6. If placing into the freezer, make sure it is at room temperature first.

Suitable for use on gas, electric hobs, open fire and in the oven.

Dishwasher, freezer and microwave safe.
