Weck Bundt Cake Jars - 450 mL

Weck Bundt Cake Jars have specially formed internal glass walls so you can bake or set desserts in these with the classic Bundt cake (Austrian Gugelhupf) form.

The 450 mL option is perfect for small cakes and desserts - perfect for sharing with a loved one. 

Jars come with the glass lids shown only.

Clamps and rubber rings are NOT included.

For food storage, you may prefer to use the Weck wooden lid or Keep Fresh lid.

For fridge or freezer storage, the Keep Fresh lids are recommended.

Instructions for use:

• For baking in these jars, grease the inside of the jar to allow for easy removal of the baked item later. Can use temperatures up to 180°C (absolute maximum of 200°C).
• Food freezing, leave adequate headspace to allow for expansion. The glass lid resting in place or the plastic Keep Fresh lid are recommended.
• For preserving, these jars are suitable for both water bath and pressure canning. Hold the rubber ring on the underside of the lid then place onto the jar and clamp shut. Two clamps are used for water bath canning, three clamps for pressure canning. To open a vacuum sealed jar, pull on the tab on the rubber ring to release the vacuum.
  
• For longer term fridge or freezer storage, the plastic Keep Fresh lids are recommended.

About Weck glass:

• Weck was founded in Germany in 1900 and is one of the best-known glassworks in Germany. They produce glass jars for both commercial and home use.
• Weck jars are technically known as soda-lime jars. They consist of ~70% quartz sand, 10% lime, 13% soda, and small amounts of dolomite (making it less sensitive to temperature fluctuations), feldspar and sodium sulphate (which helps to prevent the formation of bubbles). Recycled glass is a major component.
