The 80 mL Weck Mini Mold Glass Jars are great spice jars but you can use them for smaller portions of preserves, layered desserts, baby food and much more.
Oven and freezer safe and suitable for both water bath and pressure canning, these are versatile glass jars.
Steeped in tradition, these iconic jars have been made in Germany for over a century and remain a favourite among home preservers for their quality and vintage charm. The Weck Mini Mold jars are a smaller version of the classic Mold shape, featuring straight sides that taper slightly from the top to bottom - ideal for herbs, spices, condiments, and single-serve preserves.

Hi, tbh I was disappointed in the 2 weck jars I purchased, I haven't contacted you about it as I realised it was my error, not yours. But just some feedback, I ordered (s) and didn't realise it. The jars are way to small for me to do anything with. I needed them for my sourdough starters. I don't understand why you would have those sizes, 80 ml is 80 ml in my book. I also tested the 140ml out with water, and was overflowing with 140 ml.
Hi there! Sorry to hear you're unhappy with the Weck jars you purchased - we have 30 day returns policy so you are welcome to return them if you'd like to. All of our jars are clearly labelled with the volume in the title. If you think we may have sent the wrong sizes, please check the bottom edge of the jar as the size is embossed on there. After your review, we've checked both the 80 and 140 mL jars that you purchased using digital scales and they hold the volume indicated without overflowing (80 mL = 80 g water etc). Those smaller sized jars that you ordered are commonly used for spices, single serves of condiments, jams etc. I've even seen them used for keeping small amounts of sourdough starter as a backup in the fridge - if you have a healthy starter, you can very quickly grow it out from a small amount if something happens to your main starter. In most cases though, you really want the 580, 850 or 1050 mL Mold jars for your starter. We have those sizes in the breadmaking area on here and the 850 mL is probably our most popular for sourdough starters. I hope that helps and please feel free to contact us to if you'd like to return the jars. Kind regards, Kylie
