The Avanti Rough Mortar and Pestle – 20 cm is a solid granite mortar and pestle designed for crushing and grinding herbs, spices, garlic, nuts and other ingredients by hand.
The larger 20 cm size gives you more room to work, making it well suited to bigger batches of pesto, curry pastes, guacamole, salsa, spice blends, dressings, marinades and dry rubs. Made from solid granite, it has a heavy, stable feel on the bench, while the rough textured interior helps grip ingredients as you grind.
The unpolished rough exterior gives it a traditional, natural look, and the non-porous granite won’t absorb flavours or odours – ideal when working with bold ingredients like garlic, chilli and spices.
