The Brod & Taylor Bread Steel Original is a lightweight solid steel baking surface designed for home bread bakers who want reliable heat transfer without the weight of a thicker steel.
At 2.5 mm thick, it heats quickly and distributes heat evenly into the base of your dough, helping bread bake consistently with a well-browned underside.
The generous 35.5 x 35.5 cm surface provides room for artisan loaves while remaining easier to lift and position in the oven than the thicker Bread Steel Max.
The steel is pre-seasoned with flax oil and ready to use. Place it in the oven during preheating so it reaches baking temperature before adding your bread.
