They are made using a traditional weaving technique and have been infused with binchotan (Japanese oak) charcoal. Binchotan is naturally anti-microbial meaning your dishcloths will stay fresher smelling for longer.

Love these cloths
Love my dishcloths and wouldn't be without them.They're really absorbent, wring out well and dry quickly. So no sad sour smells. Plus they last for ages!

The Binchotan Charcoal Dishcloth is so luxurious to use in comparison to the supermarket dishcloths I had been using. It becomes so soft when wet that I happily use it on my most delicate glassware but also is tough enough that I am reaching for my scrubbing brush less. Also, I didn't notice any smell and once washed it comes up like new again.
