Made from terracotta with a grey glazed exterior and unglazed interior surface, it absorbs moisture during baking to create crisp, golden crusts. At 36.5 × 33 × 1.5 cm, it’s large enough for loaves and pizzas, while also doubling as a reusable proving lid for Mason Cash mixing bowls up to 29 cm.
When used as a lid, the unglazed surface forms a seal over the bowl, allowing dough to rise without the need for single-use covers like cling film.
